The Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) system is the major backbone of Singapore's public transport system. It provides fast, efficient and comfortable transportation for passengers to travels within different parts of Singapore. Roctec is proud to offer its state-of-the-art i-Display to be the solution for the Passenger Information Display System (PIDS) of the MRT's North-East Line project. In this project, over 200 plasma screens and more than 100 LED panels were installed in the station entrances, concourses and platforms of the North-East Line. This next-generation PIDS system is truly versatile, bringing multiple functions onto one single convenient, powerful platform. The PIDS can be used to provide travel, news, weather and financial information. In addition, this PIDS also functions as a master clock system, an electronic signage system and an emergency information annoucement channel.
